Meet the Team

Executive Team 2026

STEPHANIE KOURY
Mom to George in high school and Caterina in grade 5. Steph is a financial planner with National Bank in Kirkland since 2009. She LOVES to plan events and to be involved in her children's school life. So why not combine the two and be part of Home & School. In her spare time you can find her organizing work events or her Neighbors For Neighbors Food Drive.

AMANDA ROSSI
Very proud mom to Theo in Grade 2 and Gabriel, daycare go-er and future SAJ student. Amanda’s day job is working for a non-profit in the innovation sector. She enjoys DIY projects, speaks fluent IKEA, and loves to cook. In her first year as a SAJ mom, Amanda became a member of both Governing Board and Home & School because she’s such a keener and believes a strong community is at the heart of our childrens’ success.

AMANDA WAGLAY
Amanda has been part of the SAJ family for five years now. She is the proud mother of Olivia in grade 6, Kaia in grade 4, and Aidan in grade 1. She is passionate about her teaching and research career. In her free time, she loves baking and cooking with her kids. She is eager to continue her involvement in H&S to help improve the Sherbrooke Academy community!

ALLY SZEMENYEI
Mom to Nathan in grade 2, Emma in grade 1, and almost 4 year old twins Ryan & Adam, Ally works part-time as a CPA and spends the rest of her time doing laundry and food shopping. When she has a free moment, she loves to bake and cook (but not with her kids), as well as organize, plan parties and spend time with her many children. She joined Home & School because she wasn’t busy enough and wants to make her kids’ elementary experience as awesome as possible.

 STEPHANIE WAGLAY
Proud mom of Kira (grade 1) and Mason (K4). Previously worked in sales, but now spends her time at home with the kids. In her spare time, Steph enjoys playing soccer, swimming and spending time with friends. She is in complete awe of all Home and School does and is happy to be part of the team.

What we do?

Sherbrooke Academy Home and School Association (SAHASA) is a volunteer parent association that serves both the Junior and Senior campuses.

Our goal is to continuously improve and develop the environmental, educational and cultural experience of the students and our school community. This is done through extracurricular activities, fundraising and support.

Our meetings take place once per month to get updates from principals, discuss events and spending, and share ways that we can support our schools, the staff and our children. These meetings also provide an open forum to channel the energy, efforts and suggestions of the wider parent resource. Even if you only have a bit of time, this is a great way to connect with other parents while working towards a common goal of enhancing and enriching our children’s school experience.

We are affiliated with the Quebec Federation of Home and School (QFHSA) and the Canadian Home and School Federation (CHSF). Our association is governed by elected or appointed volunteer parent representatives. We are a non-profit association and we need a minimum of 10% of our school families to become members.

The $20 membership fee is sent directly to QFHSA, without which we would not exist. Their website provides helpful resources and information. If you are already a member at another Home and School, you may purchase an associate membership for $3.00. Should you choose not to become a member, you can still attend meetings as a non-voting member!
